Con Stuff

Heya folks! Sorry for the lack of updates on the front page, but it’s con season and it gets pretty busy around here and I wanted to talk with you guys about our upcoming cons real fast!

Now i’m going to go in reverse order mainly because I will be making another post about Otakon next week more than likely and I really want to help get the word out about this con…

Intervention con is one of the newer cons on the block, but it doesn’t disappoint. It is run by the awesome duo of Onezumi and Harknell and takes place in Rockville MD. We have the honor of attending as guests again this year and we couldn’t be happier as our experience there last year was excellent and we figure they are going to blow last year out of the water from what I hear and have seen so far. One thing is the panels…I have never been in such open panels before…The attendees had open yet very pleasant discussions with us, instead of just sitting and listening to us talk and I really liked that. I know that happens in other panels but it wasn’t as simple as a Q&A, but more like sitting in a huge living room discussing matters in a laid back manner…very awesome! You can view all of the panels Ryan and I attended here, here, here, and here to see kinda what they were like and I warn you…Garth cusses alot…I think¬† it’s his Irish blood! I will be posting more about Intervention in the comings months, but if you’re near the Rockville area please come by and check it out. You can register here and it looks like you have the potential for awesome prizes as well…I’m jealous!

So next week we will be attending the largest anime con on the east coast…

If you like anime and conventions, then this is a must for you…I have been going long enough that the luster isn’t what it use to be for me, but i’m also not a huge fan of large crowds, however for a first timer it can be overwhelming and very fun. Now don’t get me wrong, I still have a great time every year seeing everyone and meeting our fans. Which brings me to my next point…As always if you come dressed as any character from any of our comics you will indeed walk away with some free swag…So dress to impress people! Below is a map of where you can find us..We are with Booth 8 or 9 along the wall on 100 Street.

Finally…I wanted to take a moment and apologize for our panels at Animazement back in May. We were very overwhelmed with the turnout we received for our Digital panel and feel that we weren’t prepared enough for the panel itself and for that I apologize. The panel before us seemed to have ran a little long and when we tried to run a little longer to make up for the time, but the lady after us wouldn’t have any of it…She was quite mean (I had another word in mind, but I won’t go there). We have decided that going forward we will be more prepared for these types of panels and situations and once again apologize to anyone who was let down or felt we didn’t cover enough in out panel…
