I finally finished watching the Scrapped Princess anime, and it was totally worth the long viewing period.  It’s definitely one of the best shows of the fantasy genre.  Here’s the review.

Also, I have a new site for everyone to check out!  It’s called ComicAttack.net (mostly various aspects of the American comic book industry), and I am co-editing the site, as well as writing a weekly column.  The column is called Bento Bako Weekly, and will cover various aspects of the anime and manga industry.  While my blog I’ve been posting here has mostly been anime reviews, Bento Bako Weekly (The Weekly Lunch Box) will talk about creators, actors, live action films, Easter culture, as well as have reviews.  So check out ComicAttack.net, and my very first Bento Bako Weekly!

I agree with you about The Scrapped Princess. I saw episode 3 at Tekkoshocon this April and immediately bought the DVD boxed set. I have watched it through twice. Once with my 76 year old mother who liked the story too.

Aw really? It’s so great when you can find something like that to share with a parent.
It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty great. I only own volumes 1 and 4 right now (with the figures; they were essentially free through an online deal I found, where I bought other things), but I’d like to get the rest at some point. It would look great on a shelf next to Trigun, Bebop and Lodoss War.
